It was 1979 when The Better Place Gospel Group released 11 songs on the titled release The Better Place. Following the disbanding of The Better Place, John embarked on a solo recording and in 1984 released People, a compilation of 18 somgs by John. In 2005 a 25th Year commemorative release of The Better Place 1979 music works in addition to six tracks from John's People album is released.
